How do I set up my first pickup and delivery schedules?
You can configure your pickup and delivery schedules in the Bird App settings by defining your operating days, time slots, and preparation requirements.
Set up your first schedule in four steps:
- Choose your schedule structure
- Same schedule for all locations: Manage under one consistent setting in Bird Settings > Pickup & Delivery
- Different schedules per location: Configure individually in Bird Settings > Configure locations
- Configure availability dates and times
- Navigate to Bird Settings > Pickup & Delivery/Configure locations/Shipping
- Choose "Custom Availability by days" or "Same Availability for All days (Mon to Sun)"
- Set customer selection options:
- Only Date: Date selection only
- Date & time: Specific date and time selection
- Date & time range: Date with time slots (e.g., 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM)
- No Date & time: Disables calendar for specific delivery methods
- Set order preparation and cut-off times
- Lead Time: Minimum preparation time (e.g., 4 hours means 10:00 AM orders can't be fulfilled before 2:00 PM)
- Cut-Off Time: Daily deadline affecting lead time requirements
- Block unavailable dates
- Use Blockout dates to prevent customer selection of holidays or closed days
- Set maximum advance booking days
