Can I set different preparation or lead times for different products?
Yes. Use Product Override to assign product-specific lead times by minutes, hours, or days.
By default, one preparation time applies to all items. Product Override lets you set lead times per product.
- Open Bird App Settings and go to Product Override.
- Click Add Override.
- Set Override Applicability.
- Global applies to all delivery methods and locations.
- Or select specific delivery methods or locations.
- Choose products using SKUs or Tags.
- Use a trailing wildcard (*) to match comma-separated SKU prefixes.
- Choose a lead time mode.
- Same lead time for all days.
- Customize lead time by day.
- Enter the lead time and Maximum availability days.
- This sets how many days ahead customers can book, including today.
- Enable per-day Time Slots configuration.
- Turn on the beta in Help & Support to show per-day time slots.
- Optionally add slot ranges for each day as needed.
- Configure Available days or Block out days as needed.
- Click Save.

That’s it. Your selected products now follow their own preparation times.
