Is it possible to show the full date and time slot at checkout?

Bird captures the selected date and time slot from the widget but does not display them automatically. You control where this information appears using Bird app embeds, rate names, and Liquid code snippets.

Show full date and time slot in Shopify Plus checkout

On Shopify Plus, you can show the date and time widget directly in checkout using a Bird app embed. It directly replaces the cart widget.

1. Add the Bird Checkout Date Time Picker app embed to your checkout flow using the checkout customizer.
2. Adjust its position in the checkout layout and save your changes.
3. Follow our Shopify Plus checkout integration guide to ensure full setup.

This setup only applies to Shopify Plus stores.

Show full date and time slot on non‑Shopify Plus plans

On non‑Plus plans, checkout cannot show custom date and time fields directly.

You must use the cart widget, then modify the fulfillment fee name to show the selected slot inside your shipping, delivery, or pickup rate names.

1. Go to Rate Settings in the Bird app.
2. Edit the relevant rate name.
3. Add {{selected_date}} and {{selected_time}} to the rate name.
4. Save your rate.
5. Place a test order to confirm the rate shows the full date and time slot.

For example, set the rate name to:

Store Pickup ( {{selected_date}} | {{selected_time}} )

At checkout this becomes:

Store Pickup ( 10 Dec, 2025 | 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM )

Actual values depend on what your customer selects in the widget.
