Local Delivery: Order Limits
Set order limits to control your daily delivery capacity and prevent overbooking at each location.
Order limits help you manage your delivery workload by restricting the number of orders customers can place for specific days or time slots. This prevents overbooking and ensures you can fulfill all delivery orders on time.
What are order limits?
Order limits control how many delivery orders customers can place for:
- Daily limits: Maximum delivery orders allowed per day across all time slots
- Time slot limits: Maximum delivery orders allowed per individual time slot
When a limit is reached, customers will see that day or time slot as unavailable in the delivery widget.
How to configure order limits
Step 1: Access delivery availability settings
- Go to Bird App Settings > Configure Locations.
- Select the location you want to configure.
- Find the Local Delivery section and click Edit Settings.
- Scroll down to the Configure Availability section.
Step 2: Set daily order limits
- Find the Maximum Orders per Day field.
- Enter your desired daily delivery order limit.
- This limit applies across all time slots for that day.

Step 3: Set time slot order limits
- Locate the Maximum Orders per Time Slot section.
- Enter limits for each time slot individually.
- Leave blank for unlimited orders in that slot.

Your delivery order limits are now active. Customers will see unavailable time slots when limits are reached.
