Yes, a customer can select a date for a standard shipped order.
The Bird Pickup & Delivery app supports adding a scheduling widget for three fulfillment methods: Store Pickup, Local Delivery, and Shipping.
Key Shipping scheduling features:
- Customers can select delivery dates and times for shipped orders
- The app allows you to manage the Shipping calendar
- You can set available delivery days and delivery time windows
- The scheduling capability is available for Shipping date and time
- You can configure date restrictions or blockout periods for shipping
To set up date selection for shipping, follow these steps:
Set Up the Shipping Calendar
- Access Settings: Navigate to Bird App Settings > Shipping
- Enable Shipping: Toggle Standard Shipping to Enable
- Manage Calendar: Go to the Shipping Calendar section
- Set Schedule: Set your available delivery days and delivery time windows
- Configure Restrictions: Set up date restrictions or blockout periods for unavailable shipping dates
- Add Preparation Time: Configure preparation times and cut-off times for the orders
- Save: Click Save to apply your calendar settings
