Yes, a customer can select a date for a standard shipped order.


The Bird Pickup & Delivery app supports adding a scheduling widget for three fulfillment methods: Store Pickup, Local Delivery, and Shipping.


Key Shipping scheduling features:


  • Customers can select delivery dates and times for shipped orders
  • The app allows you to manage the Shipping calendar
  • You can set available delivery days and delivery time windows
  • The scheduling capability is available for Shipping date and time
  • You can configure date restrictions or blockout periods for shipping


To set up date selection for shipping, follow these steps:


Set Up the Shipping Calendar


  1. Access Settings: Navigate to Bird App Settings > Shipping
  2. Enable Shipping: Toggle Standard Shipping to Enable
  3. Manage Calendar: Go to the Shipping Calendar section
  4. Set Schedule: Set your available delivery days and delivery time windows
  5. Configure Restrictions: Set up date restrictions or blockout periods for unavailable shipping dates
  6. Add Preparation Time: Configure preparation times and cut-off times for the orders
  7. Save: Click Save to apply your calendar settings
