In-Store Pickup Security Code

  • The Pickup Security Code adds an extra verification step at collection time for pickup orders. When enabled, each pickup order gets a unique 8‑character code. The customer receives the code (and a QR code) in the “Ready for pickup” email and staff can verify it at pickup.


How to enable

  1. Open the app and go to Settings → Advance → Pickup.
  2. Turn on “Enable pickup security code”.
  3. Save.


How to use


  • For customers
  1. They will receive the “Ready for pickup” email with the "Pickup Security Code".
  2. A scannable QR code that encodes the order details.
  3. They should bring the code (or the email/QR) to the pickup point.


  • For staff (verifying at pickup):
  1. Open the Orders screen in the app.
  2. Select the relevant order that is already marked as ready for pickup.
  3. Click “Verify pickup security code”.
  4. Enter the 8‑character code shown on the customer’s email.
  5. Submit to verify.
  • If the code matches, you’ll see “Security code verified successfully”.
  • If it doesn’t match or no code exists, you’ll see an error.


Tips and FAQs:
  • Existing orders created before enabling the toggle won’t have a code.
  • If the customer didn’t receive the email, confirm the order’s email address and resend the “Ready for pickup” notification.
  • Security codes are stored against the order and also attached to the order’s note attributes as “Pickup Security Code”.
