Before customers see a change, check it. Test checkout shows the rates a customer would get for an address and cart, and why the others don’t show, without placing an order. It tests your draft, so you can check changes before you publish them.
Test an address and cart
- Select Test checkout at the top of Home, Rates or any rate.
- Under Shipping address, choose the Country and enter the postal code. Add the city or address if your zones use them.
- Under Cart, select Add products, or select Use a cart total instead and enter a total, weight and number of items.
- Optional: under Checkout details, add Customer tags to test rates for tagged customers.
- Select Run check.
Rates at checkout lists each rate and its price. Open not shown to see every rate that didn’t show and the reason.
To test the part of the address Apple Pay shares before payment, turn on Partial address (Apple Pay).
Try your live checkout
- After a check, select Open real checkout.
- Your store opens with the published rates. Password-protected stores ask for the password first.
Rates set to Test customers only show only when a customer with your test tag is logged in.
Review real checkouts
- In Test checkout, select Checkout log.
- Turn on Only checkouts with no rates to find customers who saw no rate.
- Select Try this address to test that address against your current rates.
The log covers the last 7 days.
