You’ll learn how to connect Bird Pickup & Delivery with EasyRoutes to automate delivery scheduling and create optimized delivery routes.

EasyRoutes is a comprehensive local delivery management platform that optimizes delivery routes and manages driver dispatch. This integration connects your customer scheduling system with EasyRoutes’ powerful features. Customers select delivery times during checkout. EasyRoutes automatically receives this data to optimize delivery routes and dispatch drivers. It also provides real-time order tracking with notifications.

Installation and Setup

Step 1: Install Both Apps

Install the required apps from the Shopify App Store:

Step 2: Configure Delivery Settings

Set up your delivery and pickup options in Bird Pickup & Delivery Date:

  1. Open the Bird Pickup & Delivery Date app
  2. Navigate to SettingsAvailability Settings
  3. Configure your delivery locations and time slots
  4. Set pickup options if applicable

Step 3: Connect the Apps

Enable the integration between Bird Pickup & Delivery Date and EasyRoutes:

  1. Open Bird Pickup & Delivery Date dashboard
  2. Go to SettingsIntegrations
  3. Find EasyRoutes Local Delivery in the list
  4. Click to Connect
  5. Authorize the connection when prompted

Step 4: Verify Data Sync

Test that delivery dates sync properly between systems:

  1. Create a test order with delivery date selection
  2. Check that the delivery date appears in EasyRoutes order details
  3. Verify the sync is working before proceeding with route planning

Step 5: Create Optimized Delivery Routes

Use the synced delivery data to plan routes:

  1. Open EasyRoutes dashboard
  2. View orders with automatically populated delivery dates
  3. Use the route optimizer to auto-generate efficient delivery sequences
  4. Review and customize routes as needed
  5. Generate packing lists automatically
