Can I set up rush order fees or Saturday delivery surcharges?

Yes. On Shopify, Bird adds rush fees for same-day or next-day delivery and surcharges for peak days like Saturdays, using rate conditions for Delivery, Pickup or Shipping.

Day-based surcharges (for example, weekends)

1. In the Bird app, go to Rates.
2. Add a new rate for the method you want.
3. In Based on, choose Selected day (or Order day to charge by the day the order is placed).
4. Set the start day and end day (for example, Saturday to Sunday) and enter the higher amount in Rate amount.

Rush fees (same-day or next-day)

1. In the rate, choose Urgency in Based on.
2. Set Min Days and Max Days.
3. For same-day and next-day orders, use Min Days 0 (today) and Max Days 1 (tomorrow).

Combine conditions

Choose Multiple conditions to combine price, day, time, weight and more in one rate. Shopify Admin rates can’t do this.
