Set a default weight unit for shipping rates
Bird Pickup & Delivery merchants can now choose the weight unit their weight-based rates use: pounds, ounces, kilograms or grams. Your rates now work out correctly even when your products are weighed in different units.
Where to set it
Bird Settings > Rates > Weight format
Example
A grocer in Sydney sets the weight unit to kilograms, then charges a higher delivery rate on orders over 10 kg, even though some products are listed in grams.
Things to know
- Your existing setup was carried over automatically, so nothing changes until you pick a different unit.
