FAQs
How can I offer free delivery above a certain order value?
Updated June 3, 2026
You can set up free delivery for orders above a specific value using our price-based rate configuration in the Bird App.
Configure delivery rates based on order price to create tiered pricing structures. This setup works for Delivery, Shipping, and Store Pickup rates.
Here’s how to configure free delivery above a minimum order value:
- Navigate to Rates: Go to the “Rates” section in your Bird App to configure delivery rates.
- Add a Rate: Click “Add Rate” for single or multiple location setups.
- Set Price Condition: Select “Price” in the rate conditions section.
-
Configure Free Delivery Threshold:
- For orders above your threshold (e.g., $50), set minimum order price to $50
- Leave maximum order price blank or set to a high number
- Set the Rate Amount to $0 for free delivery
- Create a second rate for orders below the threshold with standard delivery fees
Use this same method to set up How to Configure Pickup Rates for pickup rates as well.
For additional control over your How to Control Pickup, Delivery & Shipping Rates, you can also configure minimum order values separately for each delivery method.
That’s it! Your customers will now see free delivery options when their cart reaches your specified threshold.
