Is it possible to show the full date and time slot at checkout?

Yes, it’s possible to show the captured date and time slot on the checkout page. Where you show this information depends on your Shopify plan.

Show full date and time slot in Shopify Plus checkout

On Shopify Plus, you can show the date and time picker directly in checkout using Bird’s Checkout Date Time Picker checkout block. It directly replaces the cart widget.

  1. Go to Bird Settings > Widget placement > Checkout page, select your checkout profile, and click Install widget now.
  2. In the checkout editor, adjust the block’s position and save your changes.
  3. Follow our Shopify Plus Checkout Integration to ensure full setup.

This setup only applies to Shopify Plus stores.

Show full date and time slot on non‑Shopify Plus plans

On non‑Plus plans, checkout cannot show custom date and time fields directly.

You must use the How to Enable Bird Pickup and Delivery Date Widget in Your Shopify Theme, then modify the fulfillment fee name to show the selected slot inside your shipping, delivery, or pickup rate names.

  1. Go to Rate Settings in the Bird app.
  2. Edit the relevant rate name.
  3. Add {{selected_date}} and {{selected_time}} to the rate name.
  4. Save your rate.
  5. Place a test order to confirm the rate shows the full date and time slot.

For example, set the rate name to:

Store Pickup ( {{selected_date}} | {{selected_time}} )

At checkout this becomes:

Store Pickup ( 10 Dec, 2025 | 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM )

Actual values depend on what your customer selects in the widget.

Show full date and time slot on order confirmation page

Use Bird app embeds to show date and time after checkout.

  2. Place a test order and review your thank you and order status pages.

This feature works for any Shopify plan.

Show full time slot in confirmation emails

Use Shopify email templates to send date and time details automatically.
