FAQs
How does the app work with Shopify POS, draft orders, or manual orders?
These are two separate workflows — POS scheduling happens on the sales floor via a POS tile; draft/manual orders are created from the Bird App dashboard with no POS involved.
Shopify POS Integration
Bird integrates with Shopify POS via two dedicated tiles — one for scheduling new orders, one for managing existing ones. See How to Integrate Bird Pickup & Delivery with Shopify POS for full setup, and How to Enable Date and Time in POS Email Order Receipts to show scheduling details on POS receipt emails.
Draft Orders and Manual Orders
Draft orders with a delivery or pickup schedule are created from Orders > Create Draft Order in the Bird App dashboard, not from a POS tile. See How to Create a Draft Order with Date and Time for the full setup, including adding Bird shipping rates to a draft order. To also show the scheduled date/time on the draft order’s invoice, see How to Add Delivery Date/Time to Draft Order Invoices.
Order Counting
Both count toward your monthly order limit, but the trigger differs slightly: POS orders count as soon as a fulfillment method is selected via the Bird tile, while draft orders count once Bird scheduling details are added and the order is finalized in Shopify.
