Last-mile courier integrations
Big news for Bird Pickup & Delivery merchants: you can now hand your local deliveries to a courier, with no drivers of your own. Pick a courier from Bird’s courier catalog and connect your account, and Bird prices each delivery at checkout and sends the order to the courier for you.
Where to set it
Bird Settings > Integrations > Last Mile Delivery
Example
A florist in Chicago connects Jitsu before Valentine’s Day. Each delivery order marked Dispatched in Bird goes to a Jitsu driver, so the team can stay on the arrangements.
Things to know
- Search for a courier, or tick your country, to see who delivers where you are.
- Bird launched the catalog with Jitsu (US) and Trexity (US and Canada). The help article lists every courier you can connect today.
- You connect your own account with each courier, and choose which of your locations it delivers for.
- Orders go to the courier when you mark them Dispatched in Bird, not when they’re placed.
- Showing a courier’s live price at checkout needs Shopify’s carrier-calculated shipping on your store.
- Don’t see your courier? Click Request a courier at the bottom of the tab.
