Connect Appstle Subscriptions to Bird Pickup & Delivery so each renewal order Appstle creates gets its delivery date moved forward automatically.

Prerequisites

You need to be on the Bird Scale plan.
You need to be on an Appstle plan that allows you to create API keys.

Step 1: Create an API Key in Appstle

In Bird, open Bird Settings > Integrations > Appstle Subscriptions.
Under the API key field, click Appstle’s API settings to open Appstle in a new tab.
Create a new API key and give it a name, such as Bird Pickup & Delivery.
Under Permission, select Read & Write. A Read only key won’t work, because Bird writes each new date to the subscription.
Click Create key and copy the key.

Keep your API key private. Paste it only into Bird, never into emails or support chats. If a key has been shared, delete it in Appstle and create a new one.

Step 2: Connect Appstle

In Bird, paste the key into API key.
Click Connect Appstle. You’ll see an “Appstle connected” message.

Key not accepted? Check that you copied the whole key and that it has Read & Write permission, or create a new key and try again. If Appstle won’t let you create a key, ask Appstle support whether your plan includes API access.

Already using Shopify Flow for Appstle dates? Turn that workflow off after connecting, or a renewal’s date can move twice. On the Growth plan, use Shopify Flow instead.

Step 3: Email Customers (Optional)

Tick Send order edited email when a subscription date changes to email customers their new delivery date each time their subscription renews. Click Edit this email to change the wording.

Step 4: Review Subscription Logs

Subscription logs list every date change. Each entry shows:

Order: the order number, which opens the order in Shopify
Description of action: what changed, e.g. “Appstle: Incremented delivery date from 2025-10-16 to 2025-10-23”
Timestamp: when it happened

💡

Tip: Logs start with the first renewal. The first checkout order has no entry, because its date doesn’t change.

Disconnect Appstle

Click Disconnect Appstle at any time to stop moving delivery dates.
